Pony Up for Education Raises Much Needed Funds for Our Schools
Education for the Children hosted their annual Spring Event with the theme “Pony Up For Education”. The Kentucky Derby inspired event was held at the beautifully renovated Coto de Caza Golf & Racquet Club Saturday March 21st, and guests came dressed to impress with fancy hats and dapper bow ties truly giving the feel of a traditional derby event. Guests enjoyed browsing through the silent auction tables with items donated from local businesses. After the cocktail hour guests were escorted outside to a savory southern style buffet! The spirited live auction included a Santa Anita Race Day, Dinner and Wine Pairing at Hanna’s, Prime Parking Spots at Wagon Wheel and Tesoro Schools and a Ride-Along with a Tustin police officer. The exciting auction concluded with the “Principal Preakness,” a principal race to the finish with donations in support of the Tesoro family of schools. The evening was brought to a close with desserts and dancing as guests left with bountiful auction baskets.
