2010 Teacher Grants Total Over $70,000
Education for the Children Foundation continues to award multiple teacher grants even in trying times. Through the tireless fundraising efforts of the EFC board and the generous donations from the local community, a large amount was granted to six local schools.
This year, over $70,000 was awarded. Each school had several items requested; some of the items that were granted are listed below.

The board carefully evaluates the requests and grants the money based on need and dollar amount. Donations made to Education for the Children Foundation through its events like the Family Fun 5K, the popular spring event, and private donations help make these grants possible and help every student now and years to come.

Education for the Children (EFC) Foundation, an all-volunteer, public school foundation continues to build a relationship between local public schools and the community, raising money to supplement the educational resources of six local schools; Arroyo Vista School, Wagon Wheel Elementary, Tijeras Creek Elementary, Las Flores Elementary, Las Flores Middle and Tesoro High School.
